Kevin Rose: What’s New in iTunes 8?

Kevin Rose had posted a video and talked on TWiT about upcoming iPods and iTunes. Today, he has posted more information about iTunes 8 that he got from a source. The post titled "What’s new in iTunes 8" has following information:

Apple’s CFO Peter Oppenheimer Promises Innovative New Products

At Citigroup’s 15th Annual Global Technology Conference, Apple chief financial officer, Peter Oppenheimer, fielded the future product questions in Apple Style, without giving any detail. Few points that he did talk about were related to MobileMe, iPhone expansion and Apple’s plan to offer new products a reasonable margin. Oppenheimer said that the company’s management regrets not delaying the MobileMe launch. He also said that iPhone expansion in various markets is going according to Apple’s plan and Apple wants to introduce the iPhone into China as soon as possible. Read More

Apple Confirms “Let’s Rock” Event For September 9th; Snow Patrol to Deliver Interactive Album at The Event

Kevin Rose had blogged last week that Apple will hold a special event on September 9th. As Kevin had posted, Apple has sent out invites to a Special Event “Let’s Rock” taking place on September 9th at 10 am in San Francisco. The invite features an iPod like album art screen along with date, time, city and five star rating. The design of the invite is a clear indication that the event will be an iPod only affair. Read More
