ASUS today launched P835 touchscreen smartphone focused on Internet browsing and multimedia viewing experience. Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Now Officially Available in US, But with 3G Problems
Nokia today announced that the 5800 XpressMusic handset is not available in United States. The 5800 is a music focused touchscreen handset with 8GB memory for up to 6000 tracks (encoded at 48 Kbps, are you kidding me), 3.5mm jack and built-in surround sound stereo speakers. Verizon Launches LG Versa Touchscreen Phone With Detachable Keyboard
Verizon has introduced the new LG Versa with detachable QWERTY keyboard. The LG Versa has 3-inch touchscreen with 480 x 240 resolution, 2-megapixel camera, EVDO Rev A, GPS, Bluetooth 2.1 and microSD card slot. However the main feature of the phone is its includes case that has built-in QWERTY keyboard and a 0.94-inch monochrome OLED display on the outside for caller ID, phone status and time. Read More
Dell Starts Shipping Eco Friendly LCDs, Puts a Price Tag on XPS 435 and Mini 10
Dell today started shipping two new LCDs, which they claim are eco-friendly. But both the 22-inch G2210 and 24-inch G2410 use traditional cold-cathode fluorescent backlighting, which isn’t as eco-friendly as the modern LED backlighting. However, Dell says that both displays use ambient light sensors that automatically adjust the backlight to match the environment, reducing unnecessary power consumption in darker environments. Safari 4 The Fastest Web Browser in the World
Apple on Tuesday released the public beta of Safari 4 and claimed that it is the world’s fastest and most innovative web browser for Mac and PCs. Well, whether Safari 4 is the most innovative web browser or not is up for debate, but the latest benchmark tests done by CNET show that it’s definitely world’s fastest web browser. When Is Apple Going to Update iMac Lineup?
Every technology related website, blog or analyst have tried to predict when Apple will update its iMac desktop lineup since the MacBooks were updated in October. Intel Releases Anti-NVIDIA Ion Document
Intel has released an anti-NVIDIA Ion document titled “Nvidia Ion Competitive Position Guide”. The document presents three key arguments against Ion platform adoption. Intel’s first argument against Ion platform is that it is derived from old MCP79M/NCP7A chipset family and is not newly designed chipset. The second point that Intel makes against Ion is more power consumption and addition of unnecessary cost to system’s Bill of Material. The last argument put forward by Intel is that window of opportunity for Ion is very short as Intel will release Pineview processor lineup in Q4 2009, which will combine Atom processor with graphics core on the same die. Screenshots Showing Interface Tweaks in Mac OS X Snow Leopard Leaked
World of Apple has published Screenshots of Mac OS X 10.6 build 10A261, which was released to the developers earlier this month. The images show minor design tweaks to the user interface of the upcoming Mac OS X Snow Leopard. The changes to the interface affect Keyboard Shortcuts Preference Panel, add Put Back functionality to Trash and allow folder navigation in Stacks. Read More
