Apple Insider is reporting that upcoming Mac OS 10.6 will extend support of QuickLook technology to Finder icons also. In Mac OS X 10.5 QuickLook opens a specialized preview window to show the content of the selected file without opening the require application. According to a person familiar with the pre-release OS X 10.6 software, if you take the mouse pointer over an audio file in Snow Leopard, the finder will trigger a triangular ‘play’ button on the icon itself.
