Canalys has released the latest data for smartphone market share in Q2 2009. Nokia dominates the worldwide market share, but continues to lose market share. Nokia’s market share fell from 45.5 percent same time last year to 44.3 percent in Q2 2009. RIM and Apple gained from Nokia’s loss, RIM’s market share increased from 16.7 percent in Q2 2008 to 20.9 percent in Q2 2009. Apple’s market share rose from just 2.1 percent last year to 13.7 percent in Q2 2009.
