Apple 15-inch MacBook Pro 2.8GHz: Hard Drive Vs Solid State Drive Shootout


Bare Feats have tested the 7200 RPM 320GB hard drive (HDD) against 128GB solid state drive (SSD) on the new 15-inch MacBook Pro with 2.8GHz Core 2 Duo processor. The MacBook Pro came with a Hitachi Travelstar 7K320 HDD and they used an OCZ Core Series 128GB SSD for comparison. For test setup they used a FireWire 800 external drive to boot from and tested identically empty HDD against the empty SSD.
