Lines Await iPad WiFi + 3G Launch and More Information About 3G Service Plans


Customers who ordered they iPad WiFi + 3G model online have started to receive their new device, even though the official Apple launch is planned for 5:00 PM today at Apple Stores around the country. Lines started forming outside many Apple stores as early as 9 AM for the planned 5:00 PM launch. Many customers waiting inline have twitted pictures of the line from various parts of the country including New York, Orlando, Georgia, Raleigh and San Francisco.

RIM Announces BlackBerry Bold 9650 and Pearl 3G; Hands-on Video of Both the Handsets


Earlier this week, RIM announced their new BlackBerry Bold 9650 and Pearl 3G 9100 handset that will ship in May 2010. RIM calls the Bold 9650 a global smartphone for CDMA customers, as it features support for both 3G EVDO networks in North America and 3G HSPA/UMTS networks abroad. The 9650 comes with 2.44-inch 480 x 360 screen, full-QWERTY keypad, 512MB onboard storage, 3.2-megapixel camera, WiFi b/g, Bluetooth, GPS and microSD card slot.
