Intel has previewed a new Xeon processor codenamed “Nehalem-Ex”. The new processor will go in production later this year and it will be at the heart of next generation of high-end Intel server platforms. Nehalem-Ex processor will feature up to eight cores that will support 16 threads and 24Mb of cache.
