Apple pioneered the use of mSATA form factor based SSDs in ultra thin and light laptops with launch of MacBook Air in 2010. Now the rumors are Apple will leave mSATA behind in the upcoming MacBook Air update and use the faster “Toggle DDR 2.0” interface. According to Macotakara, Asian electronic component markers are reporting that Apple will adopt 400Mbps Toggle DDR 2.0 interface.
