LG today announced their financial results for Q2 2008, the company shipped 27.7 million mobile phones. The year-over-year growth was 34.4% and the sales reached US $3.8 billion. With the increase in sales LG has now captured 9.1% market share and is now in a position to overtake Motorola as the world’s number three cell phone maker.
